04/5 gas tank and seat differ. from 06???

i am lookinking for a stock gas tank and seat for on 06 450er. Wondering if the 04/5 ones will work. the honda part numbers are different is why i am asking.

it is a little different. The clips on the rear fenders on the 04/05 are different than on the 06/07 that clip into the tank. I ran across this on a friends 06er that we put a kicker on for a backup. We tried putting 04/05 rear fenders on it and it would not work without a little cutting and glueing. Hope this helps.

The seats are interchangable.

The 06 seat will fit up fine and it is 1/2 inch lower than 04/05.
