sup guys. Im in the process of building a 416ex. Im going with a wiseco piston, port and polished head, stage 2 hot cam, kibblewhite valves and springs. Im having diggin racing do it. My question is, will i need a bigger carb to run this beast? Im putting a curtis sparks x-6 pipe on it. Please let me know. Also, for the steering stem, do u think i should get a +1 steering stem? Im gonna be racing in C class so what do u guys think? Will a +1 steering stem be good for it? What do u guys run on ur 400's? Thanks

You could run the stock carb on it, but an aftermarket carb will make a world of difference. I know that the 450r carb I put on my 440 made an incredible difference. I would stick to either FCR (mainly), or if you are looking for a budget carb get the 450r carb. Both are great carbs. Just try to stay away from carbs like the Edelbrock. They are NOT worth the money.
