OK, got the Moose PB block off cover, and it wont go on because the pin that comes out is too far out. I just replaced the rear brakes and havent even rode it yet. (EBC Sintered Metal) Help?!

I used a dremel and ground some material off the pin. Another option is to drill a hole in the block off plate ti fit the pin. Make sure there's enough material though.

Is this regular? What exactly does this pin do?

Come on, I know somebody knows something on here.

The pin is an extension of the caliper piston, it's what the parking brake system is supposed to push against to lock the brake.

I have the Moose block-off and all I did was file some of it off. about an 1/8 off should work.

I have heard of this problem on more than one occasion with the Moose block off plate. Yeah, just grind down the pin and all should be well.

Thanks. Took the grinder, almost lost my sight, siliconed it up, and its done.

Thanks, I am just wondering why they designed like this and not just made it come our more.

The hole that is suppose to go over the pin is machined to shallow on the moose brand PB block off. I sent it back and got a Tusk brand from Rocky Mtn and had no problems with it. Plus it was cheaper.

I did the same except got the Cascade. The Cascade comes with bolts so they are recessed. I think the Tusk does too.
