Ok every 400Ex i have ever seen or riddin that has stock shocks squeeks really bad. I have had mine stopped for about 2 days then they started again. What can i do to stop them from squeeking?

When i stopped them for 2 days i jsut cleaned them really well.
What will keep them from squeeking for like a month or so?

take them off clean them and put grease, on the bolts that hold them on, it only takes like 30 min

and take the bushing out of the bottom and clean it and either put grease on it or neversez and that will stop the noise.

I heard of people just getting some WD-40, and giving it a squirt here and there, and it stopped the squeak...

I took the ENTIRE front end on my ole 300 apart and grease everything that would hold grease with good bel-ray bearing grease.
I am VERY happy I did that. It makes the front end or any part MUCH smoother with a properly greased quad.
My R gets that service about every 8 rides or so, lol
Im kinda a matinence freak

I used wd-40 on my TRX and Raptor when I had them. Ya they sqeak a lot. I am not sure, but may by you could buy some zerks, and put them on you stock set-up so you can grease them with a grease gun. Not sure. Justa suggestion.....

Or spray the mounts and shock stems with PB Blaster. It's a penetrating oil and lube, unlike WD-40, so it should last a while. Not as good as grease, but quicker.

I wouldnt use any of the stuff these guys are telling ya, get up and grease that front end, it doesnt take too long.
wd40 = bad

WD40 is bad to use, spraying it will stop the squeak for now, but it disolves the grease thats left, causing it to run dry sooner, best thing is to regrease.

i suggest taking the whole front end apart and greasing everything after every race, or ride, things will last much longer

I've greased by bushings in my front shocks and every now and then I was still getting a squeak. Upon further investagation I discovered that the black plastic tube on the inside of your front shock spring was rubbing against the red spring. So know I have shock covers and that quieted it down. Check for rub marks on your black plastic tube just behind the red front shock springs. That where your squeak is most likely comming from;)

i vote to clean them really good, apply light amound of heavy grease in necessary spots, and throw some shock covers on there to help the dirt stay out, cuz oil and grease attracts dirt, then you should be good to go for alot longer than a few months

omg

WD40 IS BAD!!!!!!!!!!! Never use it on a quad on almost any part except to prevent rust on a non contact area

mine squeeks too, my vote would be to take them off and put some heavy duty marine grease in there, but if ur a lazy ***** like myself and want to ride it instead of working on it, spray some pb blaster in there.
oh, and wd-40 will work too, its fine to use. if it didn't lube then why does a squeeky door stop squeeking when u spray it on there.

would it be hard to take off the a-arms and put grease fittings on them so u can get some grease in there with a grease gun after ridin like the ones on raptors and banshees.
