Jeff, Kevin said you owe him a drink at BPG....WHEN he is finally able to get the stem out! Not sure what you tweaked when you had your wreck but she is stuck in there and good

WOW i had no idea this would be such a problem haha, what i dont get is that it will turn freely but just wont back out. IF worse comes to worse bring out the hack-saw, i am pretty sure i have another stem around here somewhere. But i'd rather not take that route if possible

not sure if kevin went back at today or not, i know his wife had her wisdom teeth removed so he has been head baby sitter today.

i know he said he thinks the stem plate and stem have crossed splines (no doubt caused by the wreck) but he hasnt told me much past that

coolguy8769

what would'v caused that? my only guess would be that both tie-rods pushed against each other when i cased and pushed the plate up. but i have no idea cause you would think the tie-rods would'v bent if that happened

ive seen a few stem splines get jacked up when a quad goes flipping:p I figured yours may just be siezed from corrosion but that doesnt seem to be the case. and yes, you would assume for the splines to get tweaked so bad that it wont allow the stem plate to seperate from teh stem that you indeed would have tweaked the tie rods:p

Kevin just called and said he finally got them apart. No damage was seen, just corroded together. When you reassemle them, use some never sieze!

As soon as New years is finally over, I am sure everything will return to normal and the strippers will step up the pace, so I am shooting for the end of next week

coolguy8769

Pappy

Only if the stripper calls and says he has your frame stripped. I have yours and 5 others at one place, 7 or 8 at the burn off oven. Im at a standstill till they come back. You would think companies would keep in mind the holidays and try atleast to plan for them, but its like that in most businesses i geuss:ermm:
