How is the 250R not the best choice overall? I just posted something similar to a guy in the Banshee section. It's about riding preference. Highly strung 4strokes are NOT new technology. I personally think 2strokes are a better platform for dunes because the quick revving, no rev limiter wheel spin with paddles is more of an advantage on that type of terrain. If you don't know which platform you like better in sand, ride both, then decide. Personally, I'm at 5-6k rpm's plus almost all the time and if I even twitch the throttle I'm up another 1k. To me that IS the best duning choice. By the way, thankfully the 450 slaves have made 250R's cheaper, so you probably don't need to spend 7k!

I would sell mine for 7 grand. Has an ESR 330 Big Bore Stroker Motor, center mount pipe, plus 4 swing arm. All of the info is in my sig at the bottom. Finished 1st in points in the D15 Hillclimb this year, 2nd last year, and finished 2nd and 3rd at the state champion ship the last two years.

This is my dune 250r it is an 87. I have it set up for the dunes with alot of mx parts on it and it rides like a charm. I have an esr 310 pv engine in it and that thing pulls up every hill and not to mention it does it fast. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a156/avrilfankc/dune250r003.jpg

That's cool. I really have no reason to sell... Sooner would be better though just so I wouldn't have to move it. I am only moving closer to my work though, not out of state. I have another one I was building for the wife and she decided she doesn't want it. I am in the middle of selling/buying a house now as well. If you are still interested just let me know. I have been at Glamis the last 3 weekends and have had a blast. I can hammer any of the woops there with the Fox Floats and Houser +3 Arms, and 4th gear wheelies at the top of Comp isn't a problem. If you buy this one, it will just give me a excuse to build up the other one I have. Motor is on it's first bore at 72.45mm so you have lot's of room to work with it. I also have the matching powdercoated blue covers for the motor. The motor pictured had the covers off of my backup motor. I have the pink also and already went through the hassles of the green sticker from the DMV. Had to weld on the VIN plate from my other frame so that CA would register it, since it is a Lonestar frame and had no noticable VIN anywhere.
