View Full Version : Hood on a old style 400 plastic???

I am thinking of making quad look a little better. I have the old style 400 plastic, but I want a hood.

Has anyone ever put a hood on the old style 400 plastic?

If not I have a good set of front red 400 plastic for trade for the new style.

black trx440ex or something like put one on his maiers and atvrdertrx400 or something put one jsu the same on his stock style blacke maiers

I put a 450r hood on my quad a little over a year ago. It's kind of a pain to get it on because you have to cut and drill but in the end its worth it.

Here's mine.

My maier hood. Only cost like 45 bucks and wasnt too hard to instal.

That is exactly what I want to do right there. I love the 450r hood. I think I have my self a little winter project:D

Where do you guys mount your key-switch and your indicator lights?...i wanna do that to my 440, but i cant figure out where all of that goes...:eek:

I got a set of trail tech lights. There much better than stock and in my opinion well worth it. as for the key switch and nutral light i drilled holes in the side of the front plastics and mounted them there.

i think i'm just going to get the maier 450r hood and cut it to fit with the head light
