What is the recharge rate for our OEM battery? YUASA YTX9-BS There is no information on my battery. My battery needs a recharge; I checked it with the Fluke meter & its around 10 volts.
When my battery dies, what battery would you recommend, the YUASA?
Thanks for your help.

10 volts is a bad numer, usually signafying either discharged to 10 volts (rare) or a cell has burnt out(lemme geuss 10.6 or so?)
I suggest Yuasa ONLY and upgrade to YT12ABS
recharge rate from 75% discharge would be 2 amps for 4 hours

So what about 16 volts? I would have thought this impossible, until I saw it. Besides my meter being broken, is there any way this could happen?

Not possible if your motor is not running. If it is while your motor is runnin you got engine electrical problems, I think its the regulator or some thing in there.
