Will removing your air box lid give you much more horsepower on A Honda TRX 450R?

Yep...around 1hp I'd imagine...maybe a little more/less.

Make sure you re-jet if you yank off the airbox lid.

Taking off the airbox lid allows the engine to suck in a lot more air...it needs more fuel to go along with that addition of air.

I'm thinking you get a little more hp. But if you let in more air alone you want get nothing but a burnt up engine. You need to add more air + fuel (bigger jets) and let more air out(NEW EXHAUST) then you"ll get a noticable inprovement in HP.
If you dont want to take the lid off just cut out a hole and slip over the hole a pair of pantie hose for more protection from the big stuff.
