no.... Depends on what you are doing. If doing mx, get the 10x5 fronts and the 8x8 rears. If doing XC go for the 10x5 fronts with a 9x8 or 9x9 rear. That is personaly preference on teh XC rear. I personaly like the 9x9.

You want this:

front 10X5 4 + 1 offset

rear 9X9 4 + 5 offset

and id recommend 21X7X10 front tires and 20X11X9 for the rear

no, go for the 3-2 front wheels. Much better for what you are doing. The 4-1 are meant for people with extended a arms so they can squeeze past the trees and width limit bars at races.

4+1 offset hipers are one inch wider per wheel than stock 4+1 honda wheels. Measure some time youll see. 4+1 will be fine for him. Hell get an extra 2 inches with 4+1 hipers over stock rims.

what is the difference with the offsets, 3-2 or 4-1. I will probably be getting extended a-arms in the future just for looks, I will not be racing. What do you think?

If your doing trails and not motocross i would recommend + 1/2 inch to plus 1 inch wider a arms with 4+1 offset hipers on the front. this way you will be wider for better stability but not to wide so you cant get past trees and tight spots. Basicly stick to a cross country setup and not a motocross setup.

a 4-1 offset is not as wide as a 3-2. A 4-1 has 4 inches covering the caliper and the 3 only has three. Why would you think the 4-1 is wider???

4+1 will NOT make you wider than the stock 3+2. Take a look at the Hiper website. They show pictures and you can compare the 2 offsets. XC racers run 4+1 wheels with extended a arms so they can still be narrow. It eliminates some twitchiness in the front end.

I'm pretty sure the stock honda offset is considered 3+2, however it is actually about 3.25+1.75.

stock is like really wierd off-set....lol. All I know is when I threw my Bajas on the front of my R it gained some width. I would recommend burgard a arms and a g-force axle. They seem to be holding up real well.

This is what I ordered today, total was 1150.00 shipped, with the tires mounted.
2-HIPER SINGLE BEADLOCK FRONT 10X5 3+2
2-HIPER DUAL BEADLOCK REAR 9X9 4+5
2 Rear- MAXXIS iRAZR 20-11-9
2 Front- MAXXIS RAZR II 22-7-10

what do you think?? What size a-arms and axle do you think I should go with?

When i put 4+1 offset hipers on the front of my 450R i gained two inches over the stock rims. stock rims no caliper shows and with the hipers an inch of caliper shows.

The valve stem goes on the outside. LOL. J/k. It should be narrow compared to stock.

OK im confused now, the width of the 3+2 off set looks smaller than the 4+1 ..

I thought that if I go with the 3+2 offset it would make the quad wider that with the 4+1.

with all the money I spent I must want to make sure I got the right size, does the offset really matter, if im not gonna be racing? and i dont ride tight trails where I would have to worry about the quad being to wide.

The 3+2 offset will make my quad wider than the 4+1 right????

yes, 3+2 will make your quad wider then 4+1, with hipers, its harder to notice the difference in offsets, if u can find pictures of aluminum wheels with 3+2 and 4+1, your will see that the 3+2 widens the quad, the indent from the outer lip of the rim to the part of the rim where the lug nuts bolt on to the hubs is deeper then a rim thats 4+1

You ordered the right set up. Your bike will be about the same width as if you were running stock wheels.
