Porting From Marcums=junk

[sprt400ex]

i sent my cylinders to marcums to be bored ported and polished. (from my banshee)
paid 30 a hole for boring and another 50 a cylinder for porting.it was a total of $168.
The porting is ridiculous. it wasnt even completed. done with a dremel and probably steel wooled. come on...
im going to write a email about it to them. but i just wanted to warn everyone

he has a warranty for his porting so you should be OK,,sorry to here about the poor job..:(

I know it sucks, but what did you expect for a $50 per cylinder port job? My Blaster cylinder costed me $250 to get ported...

$50 bucks a clyinder was probly just a cleanup job anyway. Send it back if you are not happy and give them a chance to fix it.

50 dollars do u expect the best port job available? some good shee porting is 400 dollars and up...it probably was just cleaning or something...u cant expect that much for 50 bucks...

Heck my Brother`s 250r Cylinder was $450 to have Ported.

you aint kiddin beerock...

a really good banshee port job is usually 400$ or so
alot of small shops will do the same quality work for less if you find a good one..

That`s what TC charged. Heck I didn`t think that was real bad. His Motor has been quite a pain. Should be fixed now that the whole stinking thing but the Crank itself is new.

Dang, for $50 he shoulda gave you the best porting in the

world,them dang ole port hoels should of be chromed plated,and

so on,and he should put some powervalves on them cyls to why

he's at it! ,jeez laweez,$50,thats like the same price for my Roll Front

end,man, I am gonna stop dealing with Terry,he's a rip off!!

I can't stand rip off,giving you cheao stuff,for such high price's!!!

$400 for a good banshee port job is about right for a good MX/Woods port....Once you get into the full drag ports and max HP ports for the dunes it gets a little pricier, some (TDR, Holeshot, Port Magic, GRR) can be in the $600 range....but they can build 350's to 100 or so horsepower....

What did you expect for $50 a cylinder? Thats nothin for a port.....

$50 is for a cleanup port and thats about it!
Some of you guys are being a little hard on Terry so I though I would give my opinion,,,I have spent quite a few thousand $$$ with Terry and will continue to do so. He has given me the best deal on everything ive bought!
