New 06 z400- Recall ?

I just bought a new white z400 how do I find out if the recall problem was fix. I dont want to assume that the dealer fixed it before I got it cause we all know about these dealers. Is there something I could look for . I'm sure if I call the dealer they will say sure it was fix before we sold it to you. It's a sweet quad.

i went up to a website (i dont remember which one) and typed in the VIN number and it will tell you if yours needs to be done ro not. try googling the recall.

most 06's were fixed...mine was and i bought it in july...so ur should too not saying it is but ur prolly safe.

Check the clutch side case. There should be a small bolt hole thats been cast shut at the base. Real small one(kind of like a drain bolt). It would have a small 8mm bolt head bolt in it. If yours still has a bolt in it you still have the magnesium case. If you still do get it fixed NOW. My Z had 1hr of ride time and it was almost corroded shut. They will corrode simply from sitting on the showroom floor. :(

Thanks guys. I sure do like this quad. It looks and rides better than my 450R. Cant wait to put some add on's!!!
