need some power

i have an 06 kfx 400 and i have a hmf exhaust and air filter what should i go with next that is going to gain the most power i was thing cams but what do you think and what all do you need along with cams to put them in and what is the best bang for the buck thanks kc

i would go for the hot cams and all you need is shims to get them tuned in, they are 9.48mm hot cam sells a full kit for $60

is your exhaust full or s/o? cams wont do you any good with just a s/o. get a bigger carb, cams and next year get the athena 435 kit.

hit the nail on the head. thats what i did last year!

id said cams then possibly a high compression piston, or like the other guys are saying go all the way and bore it out. but by that time with all the labor and money you could of sold it and bought a 450.

IMO cams will wake it up a lot. I agree that going crazy on the motor will be close to just buying a 450, but cam improvements will make a very pleasant difference for a few hundred instead of a few thousand.
