Hey I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Sand Gear brand paddle tires (http://www.motoxoutlet.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=221635) . I currently have Geckos and they do ok, I was reading on some website that these are supposed to be pretty sweet. I ride mainly along the oregon coast but I am going to St. Anthony's this spring and I was thinking I might need some better paddles.

i know that the sand gears are really heavy. i think the geckos should do fine otherwise go with haulers or sandstars.

That tire looks like it weighs a ton. You want the best get a Skat Trak though they are the most $$$ and have the worst durability..

yah i would probably stay away from that paddle....

IMO the best molded is the sand star, and obviously the hauler is the best for its intended use... the sand shark is a great economical tire, but for raptors i prefer them over sand stars as they make the raptor feel much less tipsy and much easier to throw the rear end around

Just my $0.02... We have tried Geckos, Dune Hoppers, Haulers, Edges, Sand Stars, Sand Skate II, Sand Stars, Sand Sharks, Sand Devils, Extremes... (I think that is it for the rear paddles) and have ran them on everything from an LT 80 to a 7mm Banshee. In our opinions the Sand Stars are the best for the V-style paddle and the Extremes work the best for the straight type. It just all depends on what type of quad they go on a what you want to accomplish..

21" 8 paddle Glider or a 6-7 paddle Hauler. A 22" is better for strictly hillshooting..
