im going to be doing a total rebuild on my 450 that i just got. i just stripped the everything off the frame and am going to be sending it to pappy in the next few days. as i was going over my engine i noticed that the case had been cracked and welded in back? how big of a deal is this? will it hold up? let me know any help would be appriciated. one pic (http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4276573)

Looks like someone was trying to kickstart it while hitting the throttle. I guess as long as its not leaking theres no problems!? Couldn't hurt to pop off the cover and check it out.

Yeah, Id prolly check some things out if I were you. Or ask the previous owner some questions:confused:

Looks like a quality weld. I would check it out still, but a weld is just as strong and event stronger than before if done corectly.

Like already stated, I wouldn't worry about it if it isn't leaking.
