I have lived next to this golf course for about 8 years now, and everytime that I looked at it all that I could think of was shredding it... but I was a good boy and resisted temptation. However, the golf course closed permanently earlier this week, and all of it is going to be torn up for housing :( . I am not too happy about that, but atleast I can do what I have always wanted... and that is to ride on this perfectly groomed piece of land!! It was pretty fun, I must say. There are some jumps and cool hill climbs, but I had to ride by myself :ermm:. It has been a while since I have had a chance to open up my 330R, and man that thing is amazing!!! I was flyin topped out in 6th and the front end was creeping up on me. I cant wait until my a-arms from Laeger's and my Axis/ GT Thunder rebuilds arrive for my 450r, I will be in heaven!

I knew I was gonna be asked for pics. I dont have anyone to take pics for me . I will take a couple of the course tomorrow. Oh, by the way, this is a full size course, not one of those little par 3 ones.

sounds like fun....but I am still not sure how it was any more legal than if the golf course was still running. It wasn't your land...and you went and tore it up. Maybe they weren't planning on building right away, maybe they were going to reuse the sod since I am sure it was nice. Ohwell, hope it was fun, I have always wanted to also.

They have already started to dig up a few parts of the course, the sod is not good enough to be transplanted or reused, which they dont really do that around here anyways, and my friend talked to a guy who works there and he was also riding his quad on the course :macho

Golf courses are just fat peoples MX tracks.

Well, I'm fat too, but I'd rather have an MX track.

:D

These first two pics are of the opposite side of the course from where i live. In the first one, you can see the club house, to the right is the driving range. The buildings in the middle of the pic are the maintenance buiding and an empty farm house that never got torn down, i have no idea why its there.

This pic is farther to the left from the 1st one. (Note that the ponds are to the right of this pic and to the left of the 1st pic) The very far away part of the course that you can see in this pic is a lot bigger that it looks, there are 3 par 4 or 5 holes over there and there is also a big pond.

This pic is even farther to the left. There is still another par 4 hole to the left of this pic that you couldnt see from where I was standing, and over that hill theres a par 3, a par 4, and a par 5.

another look towards the club house

Looking the opposite way from the last pic

Now I am looking towards the hill that I was just on. To the left side there are 4 tee boxes that are set into the hill like big steps... they are fun!!!

Farther to the left from the last pic

It is kinda hard to tell, but that fairway is a pretty nice hill to shoot. Where the top of the fairway ends, theres a little ridge that you get air off of into this like sunken hole, then after that there are more stair step tee boxes at the very top

These are great and everything but I'm ready for some action.

Now I am standing on the cart path that is to the left side of the pic before this one, and I am looking back to the hill that I was standing on in the previous pic.

Last pic for now... this is the back side of the golf course that I talked about earlier that has 3 par 4 or 5 holes, here you can see one to the right and I am standing on the tee box for another, where you hit the ball over top of those sand traps to the left.

I will try to find someone who can take some pics for me... Maybe I should just set up a video camera somewhere...

thats a shame about the golf course it looks like a good layout that would be fun to play, on the other hand I have also always wanted to ride my quad on some golfcourses I have played on......when I can catch air in a golf cart doing 12mph, I can only imagine what the quad would do

450RGNCC
12-23-2006, 09:52 AM
12 mph! My friend had a Yamaha gas cart and with the governor removed and we could almost keep up with traffic on the 35 mph road by our houses . You havent experienced a golf cart until you hit a ramp full speed on a gas cart with the governor removed. Jackass ain't got s**t on us! Thank god the motor locked up this spring or we probably would have been to the hospital by now.

By the way... I am probably going riding later today and I should have some action pics this time!!!
