the rapers i love to listen to are, nas, 2pac, talib kweli, mos def, common, biggie, some old dr.dre styles p, jadakiss....all those guys that can acctually rap and send not just a message but a positvie message

I got he new Nas CD(hip hop is dead) bootlegged, I'm gonna buy it when it comes out tho. Anyway, its realllllllly good. And its true, this new southern rap is garbage. Hiphop will never be dead. It can only advance, and as we see older rappers fall of their talent, we judge new comers to legends. Comparing one to the other is the apple/orange ordeal. Everyone is different, and has something to say. What is hip-hop? It's a lifestyle, in the lyrics you can find relevance to the world around us. Something that will always fall back to the roots of music. The things we do in life relate to music and vice versa. If your talking about rims/chains/ho's, whatever. That's just those people, obviously. You need to branch out and find out what artists you prefer. There's people in russia rapping about tha motherland etc, or people in germany rapping about things that are the bomb-diggity. People who are saying that hiphop is dead, is only listening to the music that isn't so much related to it. How is it even possible for a music genre or lifestyle to 'die'? It isn't. Someone just needs to bring it back.

when nas is saying hip hop is dead hes talking about how bad the rappers are now, they dont even talk about much...nas's raps can be very descriptive and so can other rappers, but allthis yung jock or whatever or young jeezy they dont say much of anythign, they dont send any type of message, compared to the older rappers talking about real life issues...Nas is the best alive right now...period...no one is on his level right now

When artists care more about how much their song pounds on a sub than the lyrics, it's pretty bad. I used to like rap to an extent, but now it's just get stupider and stupider and especially the kids that imitate them. I will give it to most of the hip hop artists that some of them grew up in the ghetto and rap about that. But, I don't want to hear about how they skeeted on some black girl that's only in their video because she had sex with them or how low your chain hangs.

Yea i used to like it to some point but now its just retarded as hell, although i dont mind some of the older stuff like beasty boys and stuff but dont listen tothem to much anymore....raps is stupid nowadays and needs to go die.

His CD wont sell nearly as much as say like T.I. And he knows that. He's staying true to hip hop, and not making some mainstream garbage.
