Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket oil dipstick that has a temperature gauge on it?

Chad, how has your Heatseeker held up? I was thinking about getting one of those a few months back, but heard a few people saying they are garbage because they do not hold up to the vibration.

thats also what i have heard about the vibs. im in the process of trying to find a regular electric temp gauge. i'll iv been able to come up with is a 2 1/16" diamater(sp?) gauge. if anybody knows of a smaller electric gauge let me know. im gonna mount it where my key and neutral light are. ive got the hookup on thin aluminum sheets to dress it up when im done.

Yup, I do like my temp guage alot.

I'm afraid it did get a crack in it. Still works great, and is still easy to read.

I ride at the dunes all the time. And the vibrations with paddle tires are pretty extreme. (Not to mention my 440 has sick vibrations just normallY)

I think if I used it just on trails, and other normal riding areas it would of held up alot better. My buddy has had one on his Banshee for almost 2 years, he also rides at the dunes and his is fine.

..but like I said I like it alot. Its a nice way to compare different oil types and such.

what is your avrage temp? and what is the outside temp where you ride. just trying to get an idea of what a 400 usually runs.

250-275, I think they say your really in trouble when oil temps hit 300. Loses its ability to lube or something.

In the middle of summer it was always 275, now it just depends on how long its been ridden.
