The parking brake on the 400ex - its worthless. I hear people take these off and add a blockoff. The actual blockoff - its just the cover right? And there is a whole cable that comes off, too, right? Do you have any pics?

Yes, the screw comes out and it bolts on to the caliper, this also alows for a different perch & lever(what most people do after it is installed). But it is not required

Hve one question......if you just removed the cable it does the same thing just doesnt look as good?

Yea I like it that way, I only use one finger to pull the clutch in anyway. The way I have my clutch lever set up is I only have to pull the handle in about an inch to shift gears. You may think that would'nt be enough engagement but it is and yes I shift very fast with it. If only Honda made a 8 speed tranny. Sucks running out of gears.

ok i went and got a block off plate and when i put it on the stock bolts were to big so i had to drill out the holes...have others had to do this.

also i found water in the void under the ebrake so when i put the plate on i filled it with a water proof grease.

MY STOCK BOLTS FIT FINE AND I JUST PUT A RUBBER WASHER BETWEEN TO KEEP WATER/DIRT OUT.

My stock bolts worked fine too, I put some silcone around the block-off so no dirt would get in.
