I have just purchased a suzuki lt250r frame and some of the paint is a little chipped. I was wondering what the best way to get that off was. Also thes is a tiny little bit of rust on it so what could i do with that also?

Thanks,
D-MAN

Well whenever me and my brother tair down our bikes or atv's we just hand sand it... it takes for ever but get a couple different kinds of sand paper and start!!! u can get every edge... But that if u dont wanna spend 300 bucks on P/Cing

Wow i just tried it and it works really well, now is there any alternative of painting it other than powdercoating it?

of course, pcing is just 10x longer lasting than your average car paint though. Pappy has some good deals on pcng, but if you want to be cheap, get some rustoleom (sp?) enamel. I herd that stuff is very durable and I know some guys who use it to paint their car even.

well when me and my brother do it we just do a GOOD job spray painting it with alot of coats.... 3 or 4 then like 2 coats of clear coat.... so

step 1: Sand down GOOD or it wont stick

step 2: Maybe a primer

step 3: 3 or 4 coats of good spray paint

step 4: 1 or 2 coats of clear coat

But my buddie had a nice wheeler and he did the frame with the rino lining pray paint and i think it sticks good.... thats not that expenive but more then ur regular spray paint.... but ur call man.... i think the regular spray paint works quite well

Call around for some sand blasting if you are still sanding it. I payed $28 and a guy in PA sand blasted and primered the frame. Saves A LOT of work.

get about 3 spray cans of aircraft stripper....spray it on and let sit for about 30 mins...it will bubble up and pill off....spray it off with a pressure washer and let dray and spray it again on the parts you missed ..work great....just dont get it on you...burns like shyt...

When I painted my frame I used Van Sickel. Which is a really thick farm paint. (Works really good)

get it sand blasted, go to a vocational school becuz my program at a vocational school does sandblasting for $6.50 a bag of sand, your frame would take about 2-3 bags, prices will prlly vary, i would do a powder coat or get industrial paint
