what is this...need help

well i got my 450r motor in last night and broke it in and all but i notices this shiny thing that looks like it should have a tube on it or somthing can any of you guys tell me wat its for and what should i do... thanks

pretty sure a black hose goes up to that and if you have a stock engine skid it just hooks on to that, like an overflow of something i have no idea, just what im thinkin

Like he said, a black tube attaches and dumps between the frame underneath the quad. Not a big deal.

i think thats a dump for coolant if the seal goes bad in the water pump, it gives it somewhere to go. someone correct me if im wrong. i guess ill find out soon enough i got to tear my bike down to rebuild.

coolant does come out of there but not the cause of a bad seal.... and yes a black i would say 5 inche tube goes there stright down.. like a overflow tube.
