Any particular reason why it loosened up? Was it your fault or the design of it? I dont see how it can loosen up when you "lock" it down to the axle by a bolt. Please elaborate.

Anyone else?

Ive got 2 buddies that each have one. No complaints from them. Seems like any other locknut

i had one and it worked good, and it will come lose when you want it to unlike most stockers that freeze up

i have one and it has not came loose once. plus, you only tighten them down to 15 ft-lbs or something like that so it will be easy to take off when you need to. i would definately recommend this from my experience.

I assume these are anodized? How does the finish hole up on them after tightening them down and loosening them a few times? Does it scratch the color off? Thanks.

how do they exactly work anyway? basically just like a regular axle nut except you tighten down the allen bolt to tighten the nut up im guessing

well it seemed likr the stock axle nuts loosen up all the time.even if u install red loc-tite.i purchased a anti-fade and i have never had any problems since.it loosenes up every once in a while, but u don't need a huge adjustable wrench to adjust a anti-dafe nut.

you back the nut out all the way so that it is tight then you just sighten up the allen screw very simple

I ran the Rad-lock nut on my old 300ex and it did loosen up at times, but so did the stock axle nut. Also much easier to tighten back up than the stock nut.I have one now for the 450r,just waiting on my axle to arrive before i put it on.

do the allen bolts loosen up causing it to back off or does it just slip and back off? all i know is the stock r a pain in the *** to loosen.

i have the regular silver one so i have no idea how the anodized ones hold up. they just thread on to the factory piece (where the stock nuts thread on to). you can not tighten them too much. like i said, i think it was like 10 or 15 ft-lbs that you tighten the thing down too. then you just tighten the two small allen wrench bolts down to keep it in place.

Put one on my LSR and its perfect. Hasn't backed off yet, and very simple to install. The anodized finish has held up. When installing it I used a towel to protect the finish from the wrench
