View Full Version : 450r into a 400ex frame

i got a 2004 trx450r and broke the frame on the bike, i can get a hold of a 400ex frame and was wondering if i can take all the parts off the 450 and put them into the 400ex frame.....could someone please help me out with this one

The stuff isn't going to just bolt on, and you will have to do some fabbing....why not just fix the old frame, or buy a 450R frame, it would be infinitely easier.

some people like the power of the 450's, but prefer the 400ex geo.

Prety much everything WONT fit without choping, welding, ext. It would be easier to make a new frame in realality.

I wouldent recomened it. How bad is the 450r frame? If it isnt totally destroyed I bet you could strip it doun and take it to a welding shop. Mabie drop 300$ to have it fixed. then put it all back together.

yea thanks alot i started to strip the bike down and found out that the frame is broken in two spots so ive made a few calls and i think that it would be a better idea to jsut got pay and have it fixed up thanks for the help
