Im a good ebay shopper. I found some shocks setup for 180lb - 200lb MX +2 which is perfect for me except I weight about 240. What can be done. What needs to be done. Is it better to have a pro set these up for me? I am far from a pro rider. Just weekend warrior. But when I do race Im competitive with my friends and dont want to ruin these shocks with my extra pounds. HELP.

they will be a little soft, but get the ride height set with you on it, and they shouldnt be THAT bad. you could probably get away with a little heavier main spring, which should be 50 bucks a peice or less

you need to get a new set of springs. the valving should be ok. down the road when you get them serviced have them do the valving too. but you get buy springs from any shock servicer and put them on yourself. pretty easy.

you def need new springs tho. they will be way to soft and will handle like crap. not only that but you will put alot of stress on them bottoming them out constantly with the extra weight.
