park brake

i have recently replced my brake pads and roter on the rear of my 2005 400ex. I bought a product by lonestar racing, it was a E-brake block off plate that bolts on to where the park brake should go. i installed it is seconds and then all i had to do was take off the PB cable. this took about 15 min. this is a really good and inexpencive mod.
(15$) and i was fine taking off my PB becouse it has only worked for about 10 minutes.i wish i could get a pictur of it for you guys.

just about evey one who knows anything about atv's does this...i had a pb block off before i even picked up the 450r from the dealer adn the night the 400ex was purchased, a pb block off came home...this should be one of the first things people do for the reason you stated...

But if you dont do it right, the Honda shop will have to do some stupid stuff to it and run you up another 80 dollars :mad:

just out of curiosity, how can you not do that right? unless you are referring to the changing of brakes and rotor

I dont really know I wasnt out there dad was when he picked them up, but we went out there for some bags for dads foreman and he told me I didnt have no pressure in the brakes or I took something extra off I'm not too sure I was droolin over that white 07 R:D

all ya have to do is take 2 bolts out andd the parking brake that comes off with those 2 bolts, put the block off on in its place and and put the bolts back in...

i guess you could take something extra out, but i don't know what

ya I did that but I took the thing off the clutch perch too but I dont think thatd matter if I aint even got a parking brake

nope, it don't... mine is gone too as well as the cable. i don't think the loss of pressure had anything to do with the p-brake block off...

idk it sat for like 7 months before we took it to get it serviced and about 2 months before we took em to the shop, I put it on so...
