i changed my oil about a month ago and i rode it and it was perfect, i went to ride it today and it was a quart low, and the end of the exhaust tip i clean it and when ride a couple times there is black built up and thick, what should i do to fix it.

Don't forget the valve seals and hone job to deglaze. A good valves job (maybe new valves) may be in order as well... while your in there.

You could be running rich, might want to look into that before tearing into your internals. (This is for the black build up on the exhaust tip)

As far as being a full quart low, the above comments are basically the same thing I would say. In addition I would make sure that your drain bolt and the seal around the filter cover are sealed properly as a second measure. I would also change the oil one more time to confirm the issue - it is possible that you thought you checked the level and it was perfect but it really wans't...strange things happen.

well yesterday i went to ride and before i rode i made sure te level was right, it was right between the upper and lower mark on the stick, i rode from 12:30 to 5:00 and now the level is just bearly on the stick. the jetting is not rich, i think it is running just a little lean, on the topend

can you take a pic of your exhaust tip and plug.

also i would get rid of your stainless steal oil filter and just go with a honda or other good filter and make sure its not in backwards.

i have an 05 and have never used a drop of oil and it get run hard.

it hasnt always done it, it just started about 2 weeks ago
