my friend asked me if i knew the differance
between the ktm 200 xc and the 200 xc-w
i was wondering if any of you knew because i have no clue
he said they have the same specs and stuff, so i'm thinking it's like the trx and fourtrax thing with honda
can someone clear this up, thanks

The XC-W has a different triple clamp offset, a different front numberplate, a longer silencer with a USDA approved spark arrestor, just little stuff like that. It's slightly more "woodsy".

the w also has a wide ratio for gear run-out
xc- tight woods
xc-w - woods and open road runner
i had the xc, it ran fine for me, but yes, it ran out of the 6 gears it had, and fast, might want to consider the w, it also had a eletronic hour meter

alright thanks for the quick replys
i'm thinking he should go for the W, he rides with me and my friends and we ride a whole lot of trails on all kinds of terrain and conditions but there are allot of parts where you can hold the throttle wide open
anyone else have any input
