I had the leak from the seal on the water pump shaft, I replaced the seal. The coolant level in the overflow never went down any even after i lost coolant fixing the seal, I read it would suck the needed coolant from the overflow, but it did not. I ran the quad until the temp light came on, no change in coolant level. I know I lost a good amount fixing the seal. I tryed to add coolant to the radiator but it was full. ANY IDEAS?

I am not even certain this is possible, but I always worry about getting an air bubble in the water pump that might keep the fluid from pumping.

After working on the cooling system I usually will start the quad. Take the radiator cap off and then at idle after it gets up to temp I will open the drain bolt (bottom bolt on water pump) a little and let some coolant drain out. Then tighten the bolt and fill the radiator. My theory is this would let any air trapped in the system escape.

When you replaced the seal did you replace both seals, the shaft and the bearing?

Check the water level in your radiator.
