400ex 42 pilot

i think a 42 pilot is un-needed in a 400ex becuz mine made my ex bog when hitting the throttle from idle

try adjusting your air-fuel screw. i actually run a 48 pilot in my 400ex, it is to lean with anything less, backfires on decel. but it shoudl nto bog off idle, how many turns is your air fuel screw out?

take your airbox lid off.

I have a #42 pilot installed and I have no stumble or hesitation throttling above idle. It might be your fuel screw setting.
