I bought a hrc kit, Im putting it on a brand new 05 450r and I have been told 2 different things. people are saying you do and others are saying you dont have to shim a HRC cam? I just want some one that has done it, to tell me if you do or not? This is my 1st time putting a cam in, so i just want to be certain.

Most of the Honda cams only vary by about .001 and don't require readjustment-good idea to check to see if clearances have changed since new! .006 int./ .011 Ex. with feelers.

ALWAYS check your valves when installing a new cam!
That being said...specs are.
Intakes: .006" (+/- .001")
Exhausts: .011" (+/- .001")
