I didn't want to post another thread for this, so I figured I'd post here. I just got my '05 450R swingarm in for my project. I got it on, but for some reason when I got the bolt feed through it looked like the swingarm moved on the bolt like the bearing aren't making contact. Any ideas? I think it may have been the dust cap just slid on it, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Do you have the collars in the swingarm? They contact the bearings directly instead of the bolt.,without them there will be much slop and the bearing will be trashed in short order. Now if your talking about side to side play you may need to use a few washers.;)

Ah. Shoot. I forgot about the collars. I guess they didn't come with it.

Hey 2muchquad, I've got another question. I saw that you ran a 350x shock on yours for a while, but it was stiff. Was it unbearable? I'm going to use mine pretty much in fields, on the road, and some trails. I was just wondering because I came across a 350x shock for pretty cheap.

How stiff was the 350X shock? I do mostly road, field, and trail riding. I very seldom jump and if I do it's not a big one.

Did you have to move the top shock mount?
How long of a shock works best?

Pretty sure all you have to do is weld/bolt a bracket to the bottom of the frame for the shock linkage.

I used a trx250r rear shock.I think the atc250r shock is a bit longer and has a smaller mounting hole in the bottom.
