Hey guys I am new to the fourm I have a 2005 450R I was wondering what kind of increase in power I would get by going to a 11.5.1 over the stock 10.5.1 I have a few mods like HMF exhuast Dyno Jet kit and Hot Cam stage 1 would I know a diffrence or not I don't really want to go any higher compression because I dont want to buy race gas. thanks

Rule of thumb is a 3% power gain per compressin point raised. This is sort of an average, and not guaranteed however.

I really like my stage 1 pulls hard from bottom to mid accroding to the dyno sheets it has a broader powerband then the stage 2 witch is mostly top end

I agree the Hotcams Stage 1 cam is first rejet and your exhaust is good maybe take the w/ airbox lid off cheapest and easyiest power to gain.(done this to mine makes a ton of diffrence) And far as seat of pants "power" drop a tooth on the front sproket as well from the 14 to 13 tooth makes it real easy to accidently ride wheelies at full throtle thru first and second and you only loose about 4 mph off the topend. The piston and internals will be the last thing to look at because by then u may want to go bigger or stroke at the same time as raising compression.
