Ok i've started doin freestyle and such and i was wondering what i should do. im not goin to sell my quad because its a great trail quad. now i have the money to buy a junked up yfz450 or 450R and if i did get one i'd do a complete build on it. And if i dont get a 450 i'll tear my quad down and gusset it, put a new swinger(after i trash the stock one), new a-arms. what do you guys think i should do?

if you dont need more power id keep ur current bike. ur already comfortable on it. gusset that thing and thro some money into whatever else you want... you already know ur bike why spend money on another bike thats already f ed up.

id keep your 400 because its an alll around good quad so id just put some money into suspension and gusset it and motor mods, why buy a 450 when you can put that money into your 400

and youll be good to go

I dont know much about freestyle'n but it seems to me that the weight of the quad would play a major factor.

Nah its actually pretty stable in the air, and the '05 and up shocks with rezzies are awesome for freestyle. Mine is excellent off a 5 1/2' ramp at about 40'.
