250ex rear shock Fitment of other brands.

OK, so I have searched and searched. I know that the 400ex front shocks will fit the rear of the 250. I also know other front shocks, banshee, 400ex, z400, the etc. But I have heard of a new one. I heard that the rear shock from a Cr 80 or CR85 dirt bike will fit. If it does, then this is great because the cr shocks are rebuildable, and usually have a rezzy. But due to the weight difference on the bike vs. atv, what would have to be changed anything. Would the spring have to be stiffened or would it not be strong enough.

Also is there room to fit a rezzy type, 450r front shock into the rear of the 250? Thanks
