Anybody have any good info on the blackwater XC races? I have seen a few pics here and there but I do not know much about it. I herd it was prally the toughest race around. I wish they would have something like it now adays.

try running a www.koontzadventures.com race. One is even held in the same area as the Blackwater was.

I have a dvd i bought from impact video of Blackwater,its still available and VERY good.

Whats the name of the video? Blackwater 100??? I think it has a 250r coming out of the swamp like a monster on the front cover???

Anyone know why it stopped using that track???

I have the Blackwater Forever DVDs. It is something like 5 hours of footage of both quads and bikes. I have a few buddies who ran a few Blackwater races and they have some good stories. The atmosphere, length, and terrain definitely made for a tough race. I pass alot of the area (including the Rt 93 crossing) where the race was held when I go to the Koontz timberline race. I agree with Pappy the Koontz Mega series definitely has some tough tracks. I raced the Mega Series last year and just when I thought that was the toughest race I've ran the next one would be even rougher.:p Try racing Top of the Mountain in the pouring rain.:D
