im wantin my 400ex to go faster, how many teeth on a sprocket should i get, that isnt too much for the chain and will have a noticable top speed increase?

are you wanting to go bigger on the front sprocket or smaller on the back sprocket ??

I would say go one tooth bigger on the front sprocket, two at the most. count the teeth on your front sprocket and go up one or two teeth....but it will make it harder to ride in the woods...you will have to work the clutch alot more at lower speeds...

ok thanks, but if i changed the back instead would it effect in the woods?

Going up on the front or down on the rear has the same effect- better top speed, and less low end torque, it is a trade off. You choose. The opposite goes for smaller front and larger rear.
