axle bearing questions...

I started to change my axle bearings today, but can't even get past the first axle nut (locknut), i guess. I didn't know there was a clip in front of the locknut on the axle and started trying to back it off, then realized it was there....got locknut twisted back forward some, and still can't get the clip out...any suggestions ?????

Well you have to turn the small nut in towards the brake rotor and then turn the big nut the same way until you have enough room to pop the clip off

Okay, i've had two 18-inch pipe wrenches and cheater bars on them, is that normal to get them to turn ??

Oh yeah, they never turn easily just have someone put there foot on the rear brake pedal and put a breaker bar on the pipe wrench and give it all you got it will eventually come loose.
