I have the kx killswitch wired up to the stock starter button wires the kx one works the best i think because its supposed to be water proof and i have a prodesign kill switch wired to the coil

If you go with Pingle and use the wires from the stock kill, make sure its an N/C switch. IF you use a Proarmor, which is a N/O switch, dont mount it to the coil wire, instead use the tip over switch. There is a black and red wire coming out of the tip switch, do one wire from the Proarmor to that, and ground the other and you are done. Thats what I did, works perfect.
For the starter, I used a CR450 kill switch, once again, works perfect.
Here are pix of the Proarmor mounted to my Houser stem, and a pict of it on the bars. Hope this helps you out.

yah guys that helps me out a lot, i have one other question though. What do you do with the choke/throttle cable that is hooked to the stock kill?

Baracudaaa

The bars are a regular CR bend, not the high bend. Its a +1 stem and I didnt want to mess with the cables.

Here is a link to the dash ligh mod, hope they dont block the link.

If they do, just do a search for 'Dash light' mod on the other LTR sites.

For the throttle advance cable, you can either take it off all the way back to the T/B, or just cut it as close to the spot as possible. Again, do a search on the other LTR sites and it will come up with a 'how too'.

I had a feeling they would block the link!

For the choke you can buy a hot start plug for a yfz450. It screws right in and looks factory. Just remove the cable assembly and put the little spriing and piston thingy back into the hole and screw in the hot start plug. I ordered mine for an 06 yfz. Dont know if it matters though.

It does work. I'm 100% positive. I have it on mine. And it only costs 4 bucks. You just have to make sure to put the spring and piston thing back in b/f you screw the plug in or else it will act like its on choke all the time. Works much better than just stuffing your cable underneath the plastics.

theres one that you dont need, the one actualy running to the clutch is the only one you need, just unplug the other one.

Can anyone supply me with the part # for the hot start plug for a YFZ 450. The dealer in ny area is a little slow in the research of parts, unless of course I give him the Proper part #, or it just jumps out of the parts book at him.

look at www.rivaracing.com or www.ronnies.com and look under the OEM parts/diagrams....
