i like the black rings better than any other color...it hink the yellow will be too much yellow...it looks sweet as is...here si my 450r with hipers....

you will not find a better wheel than Hiper. I love mine and would buy them again in a heart beat. The only thing i did not like about them was the integrated hub but since they came out with an 8" without the hub, they have been nothing but GREAT.

i am trying to go with a yellow and black combo. once i get my rear shock revalved i want to have the frame pced a gloss black.

speedyquad i'm digging that black on black. hardbodyt that 400 is sick.

I've got just about all the pieces to this puzzle sitting in the garage...plus some! Hipers are definitely the way to go for awesome looks and performance. Hard to find those two together sometimes!

thanks, the "r" is for sale...going back to my 400ex...i am so much more comfortable on it...i also need a new vehicle and don't want to make a payment...i wouldn't buy anything new because it will be a work truck and smeel like ***** in a week ,so cheap and used for me...the hipers went on the ex yesterday and the nerfs are going on today...here is the ex before...after i get a vehicle...the ex is going to go through some changes...

and yes, i am sticking with the black rings on the ex too..

no they are maier and they came with some mounting brackets. they were kind of a pain to put on.

so would you recomend them? is the mounting good and sturdy or are they going to fall apart on you over time.

the mounting is sturdy. i didn't have a problem with the fronts but i did with the back. i had to get a bushing because i had such a large gap when i mounted them up on both sides. i can take a pic to show you what i'm talking if you need it?

man, i can't believe you're going back to the 400ex. I've always thought your quad was sick.

thanks...but the need of a vehicle and the refusal to not have a payment has forced my hand...i took the ex out for a ride right after thanksgiving and i was hooked on how the ex felt...the r is in the garage, nearly naked while the ex sits nearby laughing at the r becaus ethe ex is now a little more pimped out with hipers, new bars and clamp, vapor computer, and nerfs...

sorry it took me a while to get you these pics. the red arrow is pointing to the spacer we had to use because of the gap.

here is the upper fender mount. the left side was fine but the right side i had a little trouble getting it to fit right. after messing with it for a while i got it to sit right. the rear plastic also mounts under the seat where the stockers do.

i hope these pics helped you out dunebuggie. if you need anymore let me know.

thanks for the pics, now i just wish an aftermarket company would come up with a way to mount the plastics similar to the stock design. instead of bent metal brackets, and screws you can see on the outside of the plastic. i think honda should come out with a yellow 450r!

i agree. i think it would be so much easier if they made them to mount in the factory places. i also think honda should make a yellow 450r, that would be sweet.
