i need help with my carb? i think it needs jeted

hi i am new here and new to 4 wheelers i recently got a 2000 honda trx300ex fourtrax and the guy has a after market exuast pipe on it ,it is a cobra slip on and he said he has never jeted the carb when he put the pipe on and he told me i need 2 do it but i dont know how or what kind of jet kit i was told a k&n jet kit but not sure what kind or anything or how to do it! the 4wheeler bogs out when your riding and you go to give it gas to go faster it just boggs down! can somebody tell me what i need to buy and how to do this? also i am only using this to climb and and go mudding so should my tires on the front and back be the same heigth? cause the ones that are on there the back and as tall as the front! please help!

300ex comes with 22" front and 22" rear tires. So you're ok with that.

The K&N or Dynojet kit will come with the proper jets for 3 setups.
Stock.
Pipe & Filter w/ airbox lid on.
Pipe & Filter with airbox lid off or punched.

They come with good instructions.

Either kit for a 300ex will work for you.

It's a bit cheaper to buy the proper jets directly from the dealership.. but the jet kits are great for your situation and a no-brainer install. Perfect for people who are not experienced with jetting a carb.
