athena 480 jetting

any you guys having it pop on decelleration real bad? at first i thought it was the pilot because it only does it when you let off from full throttle to zero. right now ive got it jetted at 200 on the main with a 60 pilot. altitude is around 500 feet... any suggestions???

Wow, those are some HUGE jets.

Have you checked for an exhaust leak? Loose headerbolts....bad exhaust crush gasket?

Inspect the headpipe, header bolts, and gasket. Let us know what you find.

its all tight, ive had it apart recently when i pulled the motor. but it did it before and after. originally i had a 170 main with a stock 48 pilot and it did the same thing...

How many turns out is the A/F Mixture screw?

its also got a cam mod and porting/polishing as well...

Cam mod? Is your cam timing on?

yes its timed right... this motor was built by john natalies mechanic.
