i got an 02 400ex..stock with uni n wiseco stock size piston. it starts in full choke but doesnt idle..it takes wayy to long to warm up.. i cleaned out my carb and battery is fine..i even tryied turning my rpms up...help???

If your in the cold weather (which I'm guessing you are by your name), bump the slow jet size in your carb from the stock 38 to a 42.

yup, what he ^ said. $5 pilot jet from Honda #42. Very easy install.
Instead of sitting and feathering the throttlr for 5 minutes, I now only have to do it for a minute or less in oreder to keep idling.

where can i get a 42..? honda dealer?? or should i jet get a full jet kit since i have hopes for a hmf soon??

Outstanding prices and super fast shipment. That's where I got all my jets. I recommend buying the stainless steel allen bolts that they sell for the carb. The stock screws are easy to strip out.

The pilot jet does not come with a new jet kit only the main jet does. You have to buy the pilot jet separately.
I purchased a DynoJet Kit and afterwards all I needed was a jet or two. I paid $50.00 for the kit and could have only spent less than $10.00 on all the jet I needed.
What's your set up. I'm sure there are tons of people on here with a similar set up that can give you an ideas what sized jets to buy. Save yourself some money and buy individual jets.

I have read that some people are switching to stainless bolts for the carb bowl. I believe that the screws are supposed to strip more easily so that you dont strip the threads on the carb.
