04 Honda 450 es won't shift

My honda 450 electric shift has 5 blinks which is motor lock, I live in Alaska and have had trouble with it when its cold but it started working after warming up, but this time it really went south. Is this hard to fix? Am ordering a repair manual. Any ideas?

Found problem , gears to shifter full of mud O-ring gasket failed

I think Honda should have a voluntary recall of all of it's ES models. I know about five people with them, and all of them have shifting problems. I would never buy one, that's for sure.
