I was planning to put a JE 416 11:1 in my 400 this winter, but im thinking ill want more power.....so im thinking of going with the 416 12:1 instead. My question is, will i need a heavy duty rod with this?? And what else will i need? (hd cam chain, valve seals, etc.)

thanks!

I would go for the HD rod for sure if you are going 12:1 compression. You MAY get by without one but if it was me, I would always have the idea of my motor grenading in the back of my head

I would opt for the CRF timing chain too while you're at it......you can never have enough preventative insurance :o

Might be a good idea to go with HD head studs as well..

If you decide to go HD, I have a complete dropin hotrods crank assembly still in the box with original packaging oil on it. sell it to you for $200 shipped

I would recommend a heavy duty rod with the 12:1 compression
