I just bought a set of 450r shocks that have been rebuilt by Mx Suspension in Pennsylvania. I was wondering if anyone knew about this company and if they did good work? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Never heard of them.... what did they do? There are tons of people who can rebuild them, but only a few can build them correctly with springing/valving/ and set them up for your weight/riding style/machine. Post a pic and tell us what they "rebuilt"

I just bought them yesterday from a guy on ebay and he said that they had new shafts, valving, and triple rate springs. They only have one race on them and I got them for $350. I thought that was a pretty good deal. They are also for stock arms and are made to be longer travel with the stock lenght arms.

They cant be longer travel with stock arms. The shock is not the limiting factor of your travel on stock arms, its the physical travel of the balljoints. The shock stops the arm from travelling farther to prevent binding the joints or possibly even breaking them. I think I saw the shocks on there that your talking about, he claimed they were worth $1000 right? Yeah the guy was talking out of you know where. Either way if they are rebuilt triple rates and valved for stock arms and your weight then you paid a decent price, nothing special though. You didn't get ripped off by any means, but I dont think you were getting quite what you thought.

I do know that some of the companies like Gt Thunder and Derisi get more travel out of the stock shocks when they rebuild them, not much but they do. I think they run something like a sag setup. I don't know much about this so don't hold it against me.

If im thinking of the right place then Ive drove by the place, just a small building with a short practice track on a hill side. I dont recall hearing anything about them although theres a few local dirt bike racers that have had their shocks done there (or they just slapped their stickers on)

Ok thanks for the reply. Im hoping they will be as good as the guy said they were. Does anybody else know anything about this company?

Ya thats the place in Enon, I thought it was MX tech, theres another place in western PA that does alot of bike suspensions, I think its Pro Action.
