The Razr II's have alot more bite, harder compound, and grab alot easier. The razr I's are more for all-around riding.

im also running razr 2's in the front and razr1's in the back and love it. i have been debating on weather or not to get the 2's for the back. i've been told by a few people that they dont slide good becasue of the lugs on the side wall.

I have raz 2's all around. I see what people are saying about the rears biting too much. It is not how I would prefer them to be in cornering.

My next set will be raz 1's in the rear.
...and the razr 2 fronts track nicely.

I am running Razr II's on the front and rear of my 400ex and absolutly love them. They are great for trail riding. I can usually get through alot more than my friends stock ex with stock tires. As far as not sliding enough, mine slide just fine on the trail, just give it a little gas.

the regular razors are lighter and like the ability to slide more with them
also you can get the razors in 6ply if you will be doing a lot of trail riding

razor 2's work really well on hard packed surfaces and they have good side wall bite. the razr1s hook up really good in a straight line almost like itps.

Just go with the razr 2's they'll wear down eventually and youll be able to slide with them thats better than getting razr1s and just having them wear down right away plus there only like 3 pounds heavier

3 pounds on the scale isn't that much. But factor in rotational mass, it's quite a bit.
