starting help asap please

i have an 02 400ex and wen i try to start it it sounds like the battery is dead or it has a bad connection but then i push or jump start it and let it run for like an hour and the batery does charge but it runds finonce i start it but everytime i shut it of i have to jump or push start it does anyone have ny ideas what this could be??????

recharges? but it drains when it sits for a while? do you have aftermarket lights?

regulator rectifier! Its prolly come loose or is bad, or like vett says needs a new battery.

when my regulator was bad, it didnt recharge, he said his recharges so its probably the battery or somthing is getting power all the time, most likley the battery

Start with cheapest things first buy a battery if i am correct the regulator is about 60$. I bought one for my blaster off of a banshee for 15$ from ebay. Which I would do if you were really tight on money rather than buying one new.

i was a little shaky on buying a used regulator on ebay, so i paid 50 bucks for a new one

thanks guys i ordered a battery today it should be in on wednesday but once i buy thing for my wuad i buy more so i ended up buying a nacs graphics kit seat cover bar pad and racing plates..lol..but i will let you know what happens
