Can someone tell me if it is ok to mig weld on trx main frames or should they be tig. thanks

i personally prefer the tig welder on the chrome molly steel.

mig is more then fine on the mild steel frames.
chromoly should only be tig'd. there is no chromoloy on a stock frame so mig away

So aftermarket frames are chromoly and stock frames are just a mild steel?

pretty much, with the exception of aluminum frames, and a few aftermarket ones can be had in titanium

Ti? I don't think so dude. Didn't LSR just make a show model that wouldn't even hold up to MX?

I used a mig on my frame. I realy wish I took the time to tig weld it now. In the end the welds are pretyer and moast time stronger.

Yes they will build you a Ti frame, I dont think they are in production per say, but they will make you one. They go for a hair under $7000.
