im in the process of saving for a sled, gonna pick up something used for next season, prolly around $3500

my list to look for is:

arctic cat: zr600/800crosscountry, f5/f6/f7
polaris: edge x/ pro x 600/700/800
ski-doo:mxz600/700/800zx or rev chassis

shouldnt have a hard time finding something, especially with how the weather has been. if we dont get any worthy storms this winter im sure my mind will be changed on wanting one.

Without a doubt .... 2 stroke. All the new 4 strokes just seem to be way under-powered . It ain't sledding without that sweet sound of Stingers ringing in your ear .

Not mine , but I want something like this !!!!

That last posted sled is a Rev 440 racer.. I've owned two of them and now have an 05 IQ 440 and an 04 Sno Pro Mod sled..

I'll post some pics soon when i'm done with them

Tracks are simple ... it's like reading the numbers off a tire . Most common track out there is a 121 x 15 x 1.25

So basically it's 121 inches long x 15 inches wide x 1.25inches lug height .

Guys that run mountain sleds run a larger length track with a larger lug height . The length allows them to cover more ground and helps them "float" on the snow . The lug height allows them to get the traction and dig into the snow .

If you want to get technical , I'll explain studs . Different patterns , different stud heights , gotta make sure you won't tear up your heat exchangers and tunnel .

Right on .

I haven't the new sled products too much as of late , but if it's true that Camoplast is comming out with a 174" , it's gunna be like trying to turn a damn bus . Excited to see it !!!!!

i heard about that camoplast too. im cant wait to see the pictures of the first 174'ed mountain climber. things gonna look like a tractor trailor on snow. i wish we would get some snow over here, its so hard thinking about spending hard earned money on a sled when its the middle of december and we havnt had a half inch of snow yet. i still want one but if something doesnt happen soon i might start to doubt myself.

450rfutureracer, awsome looking xc, id love something like that to cruise the trails on.

Here's a link from one of my rides up in tug hill this past winter the week of the 11ft. three days in a row we woke up to almost 3 fresh feet each day! Nothing but breaking trail for the first fewhours! Sledding is the #1 motor sport I love my Leager narrow 265PV r but just no comparison to the 120HP rev under me and a vast trail system out my back yard! My sled is the one with the red/black hand gaurds! OLD forum but I love my snow!Ready to ride (http://www.olbandb.com/Bardeen.JPG)

2 stroke vs 4 stroke both have their advantages and to each their own Yammi makes a great product but I eat, sleep and breath DOO!

2 stroke...hands down!! i love my 140 HP F7...its nice hittin 105-120 in a open feild with 1/2 dozen other sleds...Alot more fun then quads...The next closest thing to ride would be a 500 dirt bike or a heavy modded banshee...4 strokes are just too boring for me...I ride for the excitement
