The 400ex is better for slow ones, but i like the r for the power, cuz when it startes to drop just give it more throttle.

The 400EX is better for general wheelies. It has a very light front end and low gearing. Easier to slow wheelie and generally easier to pull up and hold when cruising.

The 450r is better for power wheelies. Easier IMO to shift on a wheelie and pulls up almost instantly on demand. Also easier to keep balanced when alot of throttle is applied.

ok i got a question about wheelies though
do u pull in the clutch shift and hit the throttle to wheely it or do u just put it in 2nd or 3rd and then pull in the clutch hit the throttle?

I think that I know what you are trying to say....

I hardly ever use my clutch to bring it up. In most gears the bike will lift on its own. If not a slight pull will get it up. I always put it in the gear I want to wheelie, or start wheeling in, give it some throttle, and up she goes.

I think when you know YOUR machine you can do wheelies with ease. When you find the balance point it doesnt matter what you are riding.
